Coxs' Vineyard with Simon Cox (Gibbston, New Zealand)

Ross Anderson Season 1 Episode 4

In this episode Ross Anderson interviews Simon Cox, owner of Coxs' vineyard in Gibbston, New Zealand. A relatively unknown quantity and first time representative for the New Zealand entries at the 2021 Global Fine Wine Challenge, its fair to say that Coxs' vineyard Pinot Noir has left a mark on all that tasted this phenomenal wine.

Amongst other topics, the chat with Simon touches on his accidental entry into the wine game, excitement around the 1st Chardonnay being made, crowdsourcing viticultural decisions on the property, the building of a 7 tiered amphitheatre on site and his musical aspirations. We also discuss the Trophy winning Coxs' Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018 which took on the worlds best and prevailed at the 2021 Global Fine Wine Challenge.
